Cover Optimering

V236 Cover Design - Composite

Koncept Design

Cover Optimization

[cs_element_headline _id=”10″]

Using a team specifically assembled for the task, Advantis performed a comprehensive optimization and redesign of the nacelle cover on the Vestas V236.

The task consisted of optimizing all fiber parts to improve both production and assembly.

Our team in Denmark worked with a team in China, as well as Vestas in both India and Portugal.

The work was done in Creo for a period of approximately 9 months

Pipe & Filter System

Advantis designed this plant in close collaboration with the customer who wanted a plant that could extract lithium in connection with oil drilling.

The assignment included the design of piping systems, filter solutions, valves, pumps and control boxes. Throughout the process, there was ongoing dialog and review meetings with the customer so that we could achieve the correct result.

The project was Advantis’ first assignment within process plants.

The work was done in Solidworks over a period of approximately 3 months

Design optimization

Advantis worked on product maturation and structural calculations of the collection arm for SeaProtectorOne – a solution designed to collect plastic waste in aquatic environments.

Among other things, the customer wanted a longer arm to cover wider streams and rivers. SeaProtectorOne is already installed as a prototype at DOKK1 in Aarhus, where it collects plastic waste from the river daily.

The work was carried out in Inventor and other tools over a period of approximately six months.

Concept Design
[cs_element_headline _id=”36″]

Advantis was awarded the task of developing two concepts for a more contemporary and modern design of an existing product.

The solution was based on retaining all existing connections and functions while creating a new exterior design that also resulted in weight optimization.

The work was carried out in Inventor over a period of approximately two weeks and the customer received two design proposals that could form the basis for further development work.

Concept Design

[cs_element_headline _id=”45″]

Advantis developed a concept for a container that could split and compress polystyrene – a solution that was new to the market.

One of the reasons for the assignment was that the recycling center in Albertslund annually sent around 70 trucks with only about 160 kg of polystyrene in each. With the new concept, the transport requirement could be reduced to one truck by up to 6 tons, which significantly reduces CO₂ emissions.

The design work was done in Inventor over a period of approximately four weeks.

Product Design and 3D Scanning
[cs_element_headline _id=”52″]

Advantis has performed 3D scanning of products for several customers to ensure compliance with tolerances on the finished product.

The task was to compare the physically produced part with the digital 3D model using precise 3D scanning. The aim was to identify any deviations greater than ±0.5 mm.

This process is an important part of quality control and documentation, where scan data is visualized directly on top of the 3D model as proof of product accuracy.
